Four fun-loving girls are set to shake
things up on Trouble this week as
the smash-hit comedy drama No
Angels makes its debut. Set amid the
hectic wards of St Margaret’s hospital
in Leeds, No Angels follows the lives of
four nurses who just can’t get enough
of each other – they work together,
socialise together and even share a
house.
Facing life, death and unruly
patients on a daily basis these women
are out for fun as soon as they clock
off, meaning boozy nights,
uncomplicated sex and general
misbehaviour are all on the cards.
Anji (Sunetra Sarker) has her heart
set on an arranged marriage, while
Beth (Jo Joyner) longs for a rich
consultant to sweep her off her feet.
None of this stops them having fun
though; after all, they do have to
practice their bedside manner.
Lia
(Louise Delamere) is a single mum
and often finds juggling her work and
home life tricky, while Kate (Kaye
Wragg) is banking on being promoted
to Acting Sister, a role which would
see her stretched to her limits,
especially as she still needs to find time
to conduct her complex love life.
On Monday, Kate has a one-nightstand
with handsome doctor Jamie. As
well as being totally out of character,
Kate’s night of passion has far reaching
consequences for the ward when Jamie
makes a mistake and discharges a
seriously ill patient, only to blame his
lapse in judgement on Kate.
Elsewhere,
Beth decides to show Callum that
doctors don’t always know best.
Later this week, Anji starts to worry
that her carefree attitude – especially
when it comes to her mounting number
of sexual conquests – might jeopardise
her arranged marriage, while nonmaternal
mum Lia struggles to find
time for her daughter.
Starring four cheeky minxes who
are the of the very embodiment of
naughty nurses, No Angels is the
perfect reason to stay in this week. |
